Notes; deportation issues

my topic that i would like to research is the issues behind deportation and how these issues effect me personally and society overall. in this article called Latino culture citizenship by William v. Flores the author is expressing his p.o.v on the current situation that is going on with the deportation and how he thinks that things should change. the author is also talking about the different rights..... 

EX..Rights ,however,are neither arbitrary nor finite

in this quote the author is saying how the rights are at this very moment and he elaborates later on in the article about what he is trying to say by the way that he puts the quote.

in the Latina prospective of the situation the author states 

"the new citizens of the social movements of the 1960's and 1970's were not new as members of society but new political subject."

to my understanding what is being said here is that new American citizens that immigrate from a different country to the united states and become legal American citizens are not considered as members of the American community let alone the nation, but are being utilized to make the nation have a better political position.

this article has very interesting points because it is telling us a perspective but then it gives a Latina p.o.v of the situation and this is rare because women are rarely ever given the opportunity to express how they feel especially a women of color so i really encourage you to Read the article.
