the author of this editorial is expressing his pov on the subject of education declination in cali. he gives a little background information on what public schools used to look like and be like when the system was a little better. the funds for elementary schools middle schools high schools and colleges have all been cut extreamly short and something needs to be done becuse everyone needs some kind of education and if everything keeps going this way then the nations futuer will be distroyed.

California must figure out how to successfully prepare every child — regardless of race or class — for college or a career. Higher education must be accessible and affordable once again.

the above is an opiniated quot from the author of the editorial witch is giving his input on what california should do about all the budget cuts, i agree with him because as a california resident i must help myself and must do someting so that i dnt become one of the unluky ppl who dnt get ther education because of tne budget cuts and if i want to be a lawyer i need all the funds possible to pay for my schooling. the author is being effective in this editorial because his opinion can help influence some decisions that will be made in the futuer and its good that his opinion is a positive one it shows that he cares about his states futuer. there shud be more ppl like him that way we could really make a diffrence in the state of california! ther are many ways that ppl can help with the budget cuts but ppl must be willing to help in order for thare to be a diffrence in the ways that ppl think 1 person can not do all the work ther needs to be team work in all succsesfull projects and that is what the author of this editorial is trying to get at with what he is saying so go check it out and see how this influencess the decisions that you are makeing at this moment.....
